Restuarant Review: Raleigh Raw
Happy Tuesday Followers! I hope that everyone is full of turkey, stuffing, veggies, and all the other Thanksgiving necessities. And hopefully done eating Thanksgiving leftovers. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holiday's because it's all about food. With that being said, I'm going to keep on trend and today's topic will be a short review on Raleigh Raw which is a Restaurant located down the street from my job in Downtown Raleigh. The address for those who are curious is : 7 W. Hargett Street, Raleigh, NC 27601. They serve pressed juices, poke bowls, smoothie bowls, and other things of that variety. The inside of the restaurant is quaint with a unique design and full of life.
We went to Raleigh Raw for lunch. I had the Faroe Monch (Sweet and Savory) and he had The Hustle (Spicy). Both bowls come with a choice of sticky rice, greens, or mix of both. The Faroe Monch consists of mango, cucumber, scallion, pickled carrot, crispy shallot, seaweed salad, sambal, microgreens, avocado, and sesame seed. The Hustle consists of dragonfruit, jalapeno, shredded beets, scallion, pistachio dust, shallot, seaweed salad, microgreens, avocado, and sesame seed. And obviously you get to pick your protein. We both had tuna with it. I had a single portion and he (of course) had a double portion. Picture below:
The Poke Bowls contained super fresh ingredients and were oh so filling. We finished off with a cup of their "crack coffee" which is one of the most delicious coffees I've had in a long time. I will definitely be stopping by before work some mornings. Their "crack coffee" is made with coffee which has a vibrant flavoring and a blend of coconut oil and grass fed butter. I would've never thought to use the two in coffee but I am sure glad that someone did because it's delicious.
I figured since the last two posts have been kind of lengthy that I would keep it short and sweet today.
Until next time,
Danielle
